Maryanne Mburu

MARYANNE MBURU is a senior associate at the firm of Wyne and Associates.
Maryanne is a skilled legal professional with four (4) years’ experience in legal practice
and a proven track record in legal and development-based practice. Her expertise
spans a wide range of areas including arbitration, construction adjudication,
conveyancing and project management, commercial law and corporate governance.
She holds a Master of Laws (Corporate and Financial Law) and a Bachelor of Laws
degree from the University of Nairobi, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from
the Kenya School of Law. She is currently finalising a Master of Development Studies
(MDev) degree from the University of Nairobi. Maryanne is also a member of the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Certified Professional Mediator. Alongside her
practice related assignments at the firm, Maryanne is a masterful researcher and writer
in the area of ADR, land governance and international law. She is a team leader in the
firm’s research hub – The African Research Consortium and the editorial coordinator at
the Eastern Africa Journal on International Humanitarian Law, a regional peer reviewed
journal on IHL and international law related subjects.
