Sam Nyang’u Ardern Momanyi holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Nairobi, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration & Sociology from the same institution.
He has further strengthened his multidisciplinary expertise through professional certifications in Software Development from Moringa School and the The Power Learn Project, and Professional Mediation from The Dialogue and Dispute Resolution Institute (DDRI).
Sam serves in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department, particularly in Arbitration and Mediation. He is involved in the resolution of complex commercial disputes and heading the tribunals’ secretariat. His work is grounded in thorough analysis, attention to detail, and a practical understanding of parties’ objectives.
Beyond dispute resolution, Sam maintains a strong interest in the intersection of law and technology. With formal training in software development, he brings a technically informed perspective to legal issues arising in the digital space, particularly in emerging and innovation-driven sectors.
His professional interests include AI law and policy, intellectual property law, (including patents, copyrights, and trademarks), and media and communications law.
